The development is in the Harbor District of East Chicago, IN, located a few blocks from Lake Michigan and is comprised of two stand-alone, four-story buildings sited on 3.61 acres. Housing a total of 206 units, with a mix of 199 one-bedroom and one-bath units and 7 two-bedroom and two-bath units, the buildings were designed to be open and accessible. Complimentary and across from one another, the facilities create a ‘handshake’ between each other from opposite sides of the street and house a pocket park on the campus for pedestrian use. Lining the buildings with carefully considered landscape and streetscape elements designed to slow the flow of traffic along the busy corridor also provides safety and comfort for residents.

Designed with advances in technology and air quality, Lakeshore Manor is being built to green standards and includes secure, brightly lit entrances, color-coded elevators and floors, ADA units, as well as efficient heating and cooling. Additionally, the project includes parking for 94 automobiles and bike racks.
