The Ivy Tech Bane Agricultural Technology Center new addition and renovation project was designed to create 1,400 sf of classroom space which would expand the capacity of the educational offerings for the department. The METICULOUS design team led and created a unique facility anchored in the roots of Indiana’s agricultural history to assist Ivy Tech in recruiting new students and providing an inspirational environment for simulation and traditional learning experiences.
Solving problems associated with space limitations and existing conditions was key in developing the cylindrical grain bin concept to minimize the overall footprint on the site. The final design is an economical, site-specific solution to achieve Ivy Tech’s aspirations. METICULOUS helped to bring the project to fruition by transitioning the thinking for the project from a traditional construction methodology to a pre-manufactured alternative to combat industry market material supply chain issues.
